A Belated Easter Wish

Usually I write my post, then MM checks it and gives helpful suggestions like..."Why did you talk about Somali hijackers when everyone else is posting Easter pics and being grateful for the Saviour's Resurrection?" and constructive criticism like that. Unfortunately, MM was napping when I posted yesterdays inanity so he was not able to tell me how 'Seasonally Inappropriate' I was until after the fact.

Wot. Ever.

I know I'm coming across as an unchristian wretch but I'm truly not. To prove it I will tell you what we did while on vacation. We downloaded the LDS Semi-Annual Conference Talks mp3s and played them for six hours straight whilst driving last Sunday. That's dedication, that is. Barreling down the freeway in our metal pollution box (i.e. car) we listened intently to the speakers and sustained the new authorities by raising our right hands. The kids slunk down in their seats so as not to be seen by others driving alongside. I don't know why. What's so odd about people in their car raising their arms in sync eight to ten times? Nothing, I tell you.

Anyway, Happy Easter. Please find obligatory egg and bunny pics below:

I've had other drivers raise their hands at me in far less Christlike gestures, so give the kids a big 'whatevah' and keep the righteousness comin'!

(And in my Easter post, I talked about llama poo. So MM probably ought not read that one...)

I very much enjoyed General Conference too. And your post about the Somali pirates was good. I too am grateful the navy/marines rescued him.

(You don't know me, I found your blog unber mommy mormon blogs I think, added it to my list of reads cause you are one funny gal. So you can tell MM, which I am only assuming is your husband that not only are you writing interesting blog entries a person that has never met you live is reading them. Yes, I think your blog is pretty cool. Thanks fellow mormon friend. Good to know that there are some of us out there. :))

Yesterday before Church I was busy getting candy bars wrapped in a cute little easter bunny ready for my Primary teachers - they need all the appreciation they can get, those teachers do - and my hubby wondered what I was doing and why since it was Easter was I wrapping those chocolate bars in bunnies instead of a picture of Christ. . . I mean, it's not like the BIHSOP caught me doing that, or anything. . . oh wait, he IS the Bishop. {I keep blotting that out of my mind for some reason}and it wasn't that Hubby personally objected to it- since we were planning an easter egg hunt right after church- but he knows what the Stake would think... just sayin'
:~D
Oh, and I think it's really weird in an awesome way that we always seem to hav the same number of followers, don't you?

Ummmm, I saw your comment on Karen's blog about my banishment. What did my Snuggie every do to you?!?!

If you think I'm unlawfully using my Snuggie now, just wait until later this week.

What's wrong with celebrating the resurrection of Christ AND the routing of the pirates? No one's as righteous as you except maybe Kristina.

Great video clip, and all the fun you experienced in the car. Keep being the good example, even if everyone who drove by laughed or did worse things.
We are a peculiar people, remember?
