Bad Mood Zone

I should never have got out of bed today. Today just didn't go right. I'm not naming names but someone left the gas stove on all night, someone squished a bike helmet backing out of the garage this morning and someone left my car radio on the Country Western station. As if that wasn't enough, my favourite show was zapped by a power cut to the DVR so after all this abuse I was forced to eat chocolate to take my mind off it. Which is like the worst thing I could do to myself.

But, I came to my senses and went to my garden and yanked some vegetables out. I quickly ate about ten pounds of carrots and swiss chard to counter the chocolate effects. I think I caught it in time...

Thank goodness for American Idol. I can take my frustrations out on Paula. Which is kind of cruel, because she singlehandedly supports an entire third world country with her annual lipgloss purchases. They even named their new shade in her honour. It's called "Slimy Pink Teeth'. So, even though she's a shameless suck up, she's a really good person too.

I am not surprised that Matt got hoofed off Idol but I was surprised that the Judges saved him. He can sing okay but he doesn't have the support of Lil who has 100% of the African American population behind her no matter how much genre-hopping she does. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that Adam Lambert is going to win this competition. In spite of his Rapidly-Becoming-Trademark-Screech. Which I don't like but find strangely fascinating.

I wonder which Disco song he will be screeching next week? I'd like to see him sing "Staying Alive" by the Bee Gees. Can we send in our requests?

I'll let you borrow my favorite all time 'get him back' standard remedy:

Go Shopping! And change his radio station to Beethoven or something.

Every time the camera panned to Paula last night I muttered expletives about her. But did you notice on Tuesday night's show that she managed to throw out quotable one-liners all over the place? I think she's been studying up...

I think saving what's-his-face wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't already been in the bottom 3 three times! Hello!

It was all about publicity.

Not the country western station. Someone needs to bring you a meal STAT!!

If I were you I would not have tried to counter the chocolate effects with carrots. Just let the chocolate do its work.

Whatever drugs Paula consumes --I need them. Her outfits are also interesting. Lots of clevage --that we don't really want to see. I don't like Adam, but I am old and just don't care for his style. I think Paula has the hots for him (can I say that??)
hope you're having a better day today.

Ok you really must be a in bad mood to not like Adam Lambert...I LOVE his 'screeching'...but that's ok. I'm right there with ya when it comes to Paula. I think having Kara as a judge has possibly slightly knocked her out of her coma, though. That has been good. The only better thing to do is to get rid of her if they don't have time to hear from all the judges. She always says the same thing, what a waste of time.
And the chocolate issue? My advice to you is just Stay away Entirely. That's what I have to do, and if I can't have it, No one can. heehee
:~D
oh, and glad you liked the recipe.

I totally agree with your American Idol stuff.... Adam (i think) will WIN! but i want to hear him do a song without the Trademark Screech... even though it DOES seem to give me "the tingles" :)

and i was thinking the same thing about WHAT song he will pick to sing & my husband and i voted that he would sing STAYING ALIVE.
someone jsut HAS to sing that one next week!!!

I am so sorry that your bad day turned into one straight out of Lamentations when you tried to counter the righteousness of the chocolate with the idolatry of the veggies.

For heaven's sake, RMax, if the Lord didn't want us eating our weight in chocolate when we were feeling sorry for ouselves, he wouldn't have invented country music stations in the first place.

I am officially calling you to repentance.

(WV: GROWLE. That's what I hear coming out of your crabby post:) You need an unadulterated Dove bar, stat.)

I really hate mornings like that. It's so hard to stop fantasizing about tropical getaways. :) So chocolate substitutes.

Hope you got over your bad day...any day with country music is a bad day at my house, ick.

The gazillion pounds of chocolate is a sure cure for most things, hope it worked well for you. Don't listen to the other heathens about the evils of chocolate...embrace it I say.

Today I ran over the kickball the kids got from the Easter Bunny, and someone spoiled the American Idol results for me!!!!!! So it looks like we are having the same kind of day.
