Did I Say That?

I think the effects of blogging and mocking have spilled over and are wreaking havoc on my real life. Yesterday MM asked me how he should ask his one-eyed hairstylist how she came to only have one eye and I just blurted out (I swear it wasn't premeditated) "Just walk up to her and say, "Hey Cyclops! How's that empty socket thing working for ya? I hear they've made great strides in the glass eye department."

Yes, MM was mortified and so was I. Before the words even left my mouth I knew it was going to be bad.

I must have been in the toilet when they were handing out TACT.

AND, you are all a bad influence on me. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Yikes! Blogging does have this sort of bad influence on us ladies doesn't it. Half of the things (ok most, maybe all) I blog about I wouldn't dare talk to my neighbors about. I'm surpised I haven't been released from my calling in the primary yet.
Anyways, to answer your question, I have never heard of Jonathon Richman, but I think Modern Lovers I have (I guess he was their lead singer? If I got that right). I went to youtube and listened to their music and it's really cool. I love to listen to The The, the Cure, Hubert Kah (LOVE his voice), New Order. My husband has a huge collection of music, mostly from the 80's. So I get to indulge in a lot of great music. So keep me updated on some other great bands because I love to check out new stuff I haven't heard!

Hey there -
There was a 'Ripley's Believe It or Not' espisode recently about a guy who lost his eye, part of his cheek bone and roof of his mouth to cancer. The result is that he can drink through his eye socket...your post made me think of this - why? because he made it into entertainment by going to bars and downing shots thru his eye! This is a guy who was in the toilet when his fair share of despair was handed out...(haha a rhyme without trying...)Soooo - maybe she doesn't have an eye there. You never know!

Hey! You calling me weird, girl? Well, you gotta realized this was such a 90's thing - 1995 to be exact. I'd never do it again, for sure!
